Cuisance's corner from the left is flicked on and drops in a dangerous position, but Union clear their lines.
90' +1
Three minutes have been added on at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.
90'
SAVE! Union substitute Kroos gets away a powerful shot, albeit one that is aimed pretty much right at Neuer. It is a routine stop for the Bayern captain.
89'
M. Cuisance enters the game and replaces T. Müller.
Muller, who has put in another solid shift today, is replaced by Cuisance in perhaps the last of Bayern's changes.
87'
Bayern will be four points clear at the top of the division once again if they see out these remaining few minutes. The visitors are allowing their opponents to knock the ball around, knowing that there is little threat of conceding on the basis of the previous 87 minutes.
85'
F. Kroos enters the game and replaces G. Prömel.
J. Ryerson enters the game and replaces M. Bülter.
I. Perišić enters the game and replaces S. Gnabry.
Flick brings on Perisic for Gnabry to provide some fresh legs in attack late on.
The flow of the game is further disrupted as Kroos comes on for Promel.
The home team turn to Ryerson for the final stages. Bulter is the player to make way.
83'
The irony of that second Bayern goal, of course, is that Union are very much the Bundesliga's set-piece kings. The home team now look down and out with less than 10 minutes to score a couple of goals.
81'
J. Mees enters the game and replaces M. Ingvartsen.
Union are quick to make a change following Pavard's headed goal. Ingvartsen is replaced by Mees.
80'
B. Pavard has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Kimmich.
GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!!! UNION 0-2 BAYERN!!! Kimmich's right-sided corner is crying out to be attacked and Pavard does exactly that by guiding a header into the bottom-right corner from seven yards.
Kimmich's set-piece ability is no secret, and this latest delivery was right on the money. Credit to Pavard, too, for getting to it first.
Minute
Description
79'
Bayern will be given ample opportunities to counter now as Union finally start to get the ball forward. Gentner has another go from range, again failing to find the target. Still, the home team look a lot brighter since he was brought on.
77'
Gnabry has acres of space to charge into down the left. He brings it into the middle before teeing up Coman, whose attempted return pass has too much pace on it. Union survive a major scare!
75'
The hosts are starting to have a bit more of a go as we enter the final 15 minutes. Gentner, only on the field for a few minutes, takes a swipe at the ball but gets his contact all wrong.
71'
C. Gentner enters the game and replaces R. Andrich.
S. Andersson enters the game and replaces A. Ujah.
K. Coman enters the game and replaces L. Goretzka.
Gentner is on and Andrich off as the home team make a double change to freshen things up.
Flick makes his first change by bringing on Coman for Goretzka in attacking midfield.
70'
Andersson is on for Ujah up top for Union in the first of the game's substitutions.
69'
Linz's cross from deep takes a heavy deflection off Pavard for a corner. Union skipper Trimmel swings the ball into the zone under Neuer's crossbar, allowing the Bayern keeper to collect with ease.
67'
It is passes galore now for Bayern as they work the ball forward. They are not creating a great deal, in truth, but it does not really matter at this stage. Flick must surely be tempted to bring on some fresh legs in attack, though.
65'
Davies, playing centrally for the time being, drives forward but a give-and-go comes to little. Union are stuck inside their own half, unable to get the ball forward - not ideal when you are chasing a goal.
63'
Gnabry steps inside but his shot from 15 yards is blocked. You get the sense that a second Bayern goal will soon arrive.
62'
The home team are doing well to contain the reigning champions. In doing so, though, they are not really managing to get at their opponents.
61'
Ujah is not at all pleased after a decision goes against his team. Kimmich went to ground and the referee awarded a free-kick to Bayern - there did not appear to be a great deal in it.
60'
Both teams are holding off from making the first of their five available substitutions as we hit the hour mark. The flow of the game has remained constant - Bayern are in control, but Union are enjoying the odd promising moment.
58'
Union midfielder Promel is in the right place at the right time to get on the end of a flick-on, but he rather snatches at it and Neuer watches it all the way.
57'
Pavard gets on the end of the corner but is unable to divert it goalwards.
56'
Muller does very well to turn Hubner inside out and then stands the ball up for Lewandowski at the back post. The striker's header is defended by Union, albeit at the expense of a corner.
54'
Bayern are up to 70 per cent in terms of possession, but all that truly matters is that it is still only 1-0. Union have made themselves tough to break down and it is still all to play for with around 35 minutes to go.
52'
Andersson is being readied to come on for the home side. As long as it remains 1-0, Union have an opportunity to pull off an upset.
51'
K. Schlotterbeck gets yellow.
Schlotterbeck is the latest player to be shown a yellow card following a heavy challenge on Goretzka.
49'
Union are stepping off far more now compared to the opening half an hour or so. Bayern are starting to pick up the ball in some promising positions - will they make it count?
48'
Muller's attempted flicked pass towards Lewandowski rolls through to Gikiewicz. Union then get themselves in a real mess at the back, but Gnabry delays the shot and it is blocked when he does eventually pull the trigger.
46'
RESTART! Union get us back underway at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei. Neither side have made any changes at the interval, so it is as you were in that regard.
45' +4
HALF-TIME: UNION BERLIN 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH
Pavard strikes the ball cleanly from 25 yards, but it spins into the side-netting. That should be that in terms of the first half.
45' +3
Ujah gets on the end of a right-sided cross but can only direct the ball wide of the target. It takes a touch off a Bayern player on its way through, though, so a corner is awarded.
45' +1
Four minutes have been added on at the end of what has been a competitive first half.
45'
Davies picks out Muller, who controls it and fires away a half-volley. Lenz does well to get between the ball and the goal - a fine block, that.
44'
Union could do with the half-time whistle having dropped off a fair bit since Bayern opened the scoring. The visitors are continuing to get the ball forward in search of Muller, Gnabry and indeed goalscorer Lewandowski.
42'
Goretzka gets forward to win a corner for his side. Bulter is not happy as he feels there was a handball infringement in the build-up.
41'
That goal will make the world of difference to Bayern. They have not had things all their own way in this first half, but Union will now have to get at their opponents a little more.
40'
Penalty goal scored by R. Lewandowski for Bayern Munich!
GOOOOOAAAAAALLLL!!!!! UNION 0-1 BAYERN!!! Lewandowski casually slots the ball pretty much down the middle to give Bayern the lead. That makes it 40 goals in all competitions for the Poland international, who is enjoying the best season of his career.
37'
The game has gone a little stale, not helped by a couple of stoppages over the last few minutes.
36'
A. Davies gets yellow.
Davies is shown a yellow card for a challenge on Promel. The Bayern full-back was a little late, though to his credit he did try to pull out.
34'
Following a couple of shaky moments at the back from Bayern, Trimmel is unable to take advantage as his lofted cross is plucked out of the air by Neuer.
31'
There has not been a great deal between the sides inside the opening half an hour. Bayern are now in complete control of possession, but their only major chance so far was Muller's close-range strike, which was ruled out for offside.
29'
Davies is having plenty of joy down the left-hand side. He gets away from a couple of players but is unable to pick out a team-mate at the end of the move.
27'
A Union free-kick into the box causes a bit of panic. A few players go for it and the final touch comes off a Bayern player for a corner, which Kimmich successfully defends at the front post.
25'
Kimmich is far too casual with his chipped pass towards Muller and Gikiewicz is able to collect. The ball is punted upfield and Davies lands awkwardly when trying to win it.
24'
A disallowed goal and that dangerous moment from Davies - Bayern are definitely growing more and more into the game. That said, it remains goalless with more than a quarter of the contest played.
22'
Davies is played into space down the left and his cut-back is not dealt with by Gikiewicz. However, it is a Union player who gets on the end of the loose ball to clear before Muller can pounce.
20'
That Bayern goal would have stood had Muller not helped the ball over the line. Gnabry will not be pleased with his team-mate!
17'
Lenz ushers the ball out of play under pressure from Pavard. Stand-in Union boss Hoffmann will be pleased with his side's display so far.
16'
Gnabry's shot from around 13 yards out hits a Union player. Bayern are looking to build attacks from midfield but are struggling to break down their opponents.
14'
Bayern are struggling to get going in the opening stages of this first match back. Union have been the more threatening side so far, without really troubling opposition goalkeeper Neuer.
12'
C. Lenz gets yellow.
Lenz slides in on versatile Bayern defender Pavard to earn himself the first yellow card of the contest.
11'
A nice switch of play sets Trimmel free down the right. He attempts to play the ball into the six-yard box, but the cross is cut out. Another offside infringement brings Union's latest attack to an end.
10'
Davies tries to skip clear of his man down the Bayern left, but Hubner wins the battle by turning over possession.
9'
A better first touch for Ujah there and he would have been in on goal. Union have managed a couple of shots early on, whereas Bayern have yet to really put together a serious attacking move.
7'
SHOT! Ujah controls Hubner's cross and steadies himself for the shot, but he rather lashes at it and Neuer watches the ball sail over the crossbar.
5'
Promel cuts the ball back for Bulter, but the weak shot is aimed right at Neuer. The visitors are seeing plenty of the ball early on, as expected.
4'
Thiago's searching pass from deep, seemingly in the direction of Lewandowski, goes straight behind for a goal-kick.
3'
Lewandowski is looking as fit as ever as he carries the ball forward and gets a shot away from 20 yards. The ball deflects onto the roof of the net for a corner, which Union deal with.
2'
It is worth noting that Union head coach Fischer is not in the dugout today because of personal reasons. Markus Hoffmann is instead taking charge of the hosts.
1'
KICK-OFF! Bayern, looking to move four points clear of the chasing pack at the top of the table, get us up and running!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between Union Berlin and Bayern Munich at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.
The Bundesliga is back following a two-month break owing to the coronavirus pandemic, and it has already been an eventful weekend in Germany's top flight. RB Leipzig were held 1-1 by Freiburg on Saturday, but fellow top-four sides Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund both picked up victories, with the latter now within a point of leaders Bayern.
Hansi Flick's side collected 31 points from a possible 33 before the coronavirus-enforced shutdown and will be looking to pick up from where they left off. Opponents Union have very much been the division's surprise package in their first season at this level, with Urs Fischer's men finding themselves 12th in the table with this game in hand to play on the sides directly above them.
UNION XI (3-4-2-1): Rafal Gikiewicz; Florian Hubner, Keven Schlotterbeck, Neven Subotic; Christopher Trimmel (c), Robert Andrich, Grischa Promel, Christopher Lenz; Marcus Ingvartsen, Marius Bulter; Anthony Ujah.
Subs: Michael Cuisance, Alvaro Odriozola, Lucas Hernandez, Joshua Zirkzee, Kingsley Coman, Ivan Perisic, Sven Ulreich, Lars Lukas Mai.
Subs: Christian Gentner, Felix Kroos, Joshua Mees, Moritz Nicolas, Ken Reichel, Michael Parensen, Julian Ryerson, Sebastian Polter, Sebastian Andersson.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei, with kick-off just moments away. Today's game will be played behind closed doors, as indeed will every other Bundesliga match between now and the end of the season.
BAYERN XI (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer (c); Benjamin Pavard, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Thiago Alcantara; Thomas Muller, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski.
Stand-in Union boss Hoffmann will be pleased enough with his side's first-half display, although they did drop off somewhat in the final 10 minutes. Bayern still have work to do and, given the temporary five-substitute allowance, it may only be a matter of time before we see the likes of Coman, Perisic and Zirkzee.
That's all for today's live coverage. Thanks for joining!
Reigning champions Bayern return to league action next Saturday with a home match against Eintracht Frankfurt, before travelling to Borussia Dortmund the following week - what a match that should be! As for Union, they stay 12th in the table ahead of their derby showdown with Hertha Berlin in five days' time.
