In another change for Wales, Davies is replaced by Gunter.
90'
Another free-kick is awarded to Wales inside their penalty area and the pace of the game now looks like it has slowed down.
89'
W. Vaulks enters the game and replaces H. Wilson.
Wilson's night is over as he comes off for Vaulks.
The corner comes to nothing, though, as Politsevich heads clear.
88'
Wales have a free-kick right in the left corner of the Belarus half here, after Wilson ran back into play chasing a ball he had taken past Zolotov, who then hacked him down.
86'
Wales are still pushing for a second goal here, but Williams is shoved off the ball as he tries to spin away from Polyakov.
84'
V. Klimovich enters the game and replaces I. Bakhar.
Belarus get forward down the left in a counter-attack after Allen gives the ball away, but Bakhar's attempted shot from the left just outside the box is slow and trickles well wide of the goal.
Belarus make another alteration as Bakhar is replaced by Klimovich.
82'
Pechenin is penalised for a challenge on Williams deep inside the Wales half and the hosts have a free-kick.
79'
To say this has been a friendly is quite surprising. It has been a full-blooded contest and both sides have taken it very seriously.
77'
T. Lockyer enters the game and replaces C. Mepham.
Belarus have a corner here and it is swung in well. It bounces a couple of times and goes through a number of bodies, but not one of them got a touch and the hosts recover.
Mepham's game comes to an end as he is replaced by Lockyer.
Minute
Description
76'
K. Pechenin enters the game and replaces M. Skavysh.
Belarus make another change as Skavysh comes off for Pechenin.
75'
S. Vokes enters the game and replaces K. Moore.
Moore's night is over and it has been a good debut for him. Sam Vokes comes on in his place.
74'
There has been a collision between Volkov and Moore, but both players get up after a couple of minutes on the ground and carry on.
73'
CHANCE! Bale does really well to get the ball past Polyakov on the left-hand side and tease a low cross into the centre towards Williams, but the midfielder's first touch evades him and Belarus clear.
71'
S. Dragun enters the game and replaces D. Baga.
Belarus' third change sees Baga come off for Dragun.
70'
I. Stasevich enters the game and replaces N. Signevich.
Wales earn a corner from the left which is passed short to Wilson, but his cross is headed clear.
A fourth Belarus change sees Stasevich come on in place of Signevich.
68'
That has livened the game up again and both sides look like they could score any time soon.
65'
But there's a chance! The ball bobbles around in the Wales penalty area and Ngome has a shot blocked, which comes out to Polyakov but his effort is then over the bar.
64'
Belarus have again looked a bit more dangerous than they did in the first half. They are getting forward a lot more but are yet to create anything worthy.
62'
OVER THE BAR! Baga plays it into Maevski who gets into the penalty area and tries a shot at goal, but it goes high and wide over Ward's right post.
58'
Bale makes a run across the pitch with the ball and passes to Williams, who tries a reverse pass to Davies on the overlap, but Zolotov does well to shield the pass out for a goal-kick.
57'
N. Zolotov gets yellow.
Zolotov is the first man into the book for a rash challenge on Wilson. The defender went low and caught Wilson on his ankle.
56'
Bale tries a cross with the outside of his right boot from the left, with Williams lurking in the box, but it is headed clear by Politsevich.
54'
Belarus have stepped up their efforts to get an equaliser in this last minute or so and they look a lot sharper than in that first half. Their passing through the lines is a lot slicker.
50'
G. Bale enters the game and replaces D. James.
James comes off to a standing ovation from the Cardiff crowd, and Bale comes on in his place.
Wales are now content to just keep the ball at the back for a minute or so after some early Belarus pressure.
48'
The free-kick comes in from the left but Volkov heads it away.
47'
Belarus begin this second half with a decent opening as they have a throw-in that goes deep into the box. Wales clear, however, and James races upfield with the ball and wins a free-kick due to a harsh challenge from Zolotov.
46'
I. Maevskiy enters the game and replaces E. Yablonskiy.
M. Ebong enters the game and replaces Y. Kovalev.
45'
The second half is now underway as Belarus kick us off!
In another Wales attack, Wilson swings the ball in from the right and Williams comes from the edge of the area with momentum to try to head it, but the keeper claims it well ahead of the midfielder.
HALF-TIME: WALES 1-0 BELARUS.
43'
Roberts wins a free-kick inside his own half after being dragged back by Skavysh, but it comes to nothing after he lofts it forward.
41'
James is involved again down the Wales left and he seems to be stuck in two minds as to whether to cut inside to the right or pass. Here, the winger takes one too many touches and tries to drive a shot towards goal, but it is blocked.
40'
Wales now have a free-kick near the byline deep in the Belarus half, courtesy of a challenge on Roberts.
The free-kick is lofted into the back post where Allen leaps for the ball, but so too does Plotnikov and the two collide heavily, the latter claiming the ball well.
37'
Wales' pressing game is brilliant and they are not letting Belarus have a second. The visitors can't get out at the moment.
34'
Wales have a flurry of attempts now as they look to add a second, with James and Davies both having efforts blocked. The hosts then win a corner, but it is dealt with easily.
32'
Apart from that snapshot from Yablonsky, Belarus have failed to really threaten this Wales defence. In fact, it's been sloppy errors from the home side that have gifted them their best opportunities thus far.
30'
BLOCKED! Another great chance for Wales is snuffed out by Politsevich. James advances down the left and whips a low cross into the centre with Moore in close attendance. The defender was a couple of yards back when the cross was fired in and it looked as if the striker might get there first, but the Belarus man does well to make up the ground and concede a corner, which is headed clear.
28'
SAVED! Belarus get some luck as Morrell's pass inside his own half is wayward and Yablonsky nips in and takes the ball. He takes one or two touches then fires a low shot towards Ward's goal which the keeper saves easily.
27'
Williams is making his first start since 2015 tonight, but you wouldn't think it having seen his performance. He has looked lively throughout the Wales midfield and is getting forward well.
25'
Another half-chance for Wales comes and goes. Wilson runs forward into the Belarus half with his opponents backing off and he has options to the left and right. He goes right this time instead of cutting inside, but his pass is shielded well by Polyakov and Belarus earn a goal-kick.
23'
The Belarus pressing has notably gone up a notch in the past couple of minutes, but they are having no real success yet.
21'
Wales are definitely on top now and look really in the mood. James and Wilson are causing havoc on either wing for the hosts.
19'
Belarus get a chance going forward and it ends in a free-kick in front of the goal from about 35 yards out. It is lofted in over the top but goes past everyone and Ward collects.
17'
D. James has scored a goal for Wales! Assist by J. Williams.
Kovalev has a big bag of ice on his head here after a challenge which saw him come together with Wilson. He is off the pitch for now but seems to be ok.
Williams did great there to assess his options and pick out James, who did the rest with a wonderful finish into the corner of the net.
GOAL! Wales open the scoring and what an effort that is from James! The hosts launch a quick counter-attack after Morrell won the ball back and he passes to Williams, who advances with pace. He then passes to the left to James, who cuts inside to the right and fires a wonderful curling effort into the bottom right-hand corner of the net. 1-0!
16'
Wales win a free kick just inside the Belarus half on the right and Allen slides the ball down the flank to James, who takes a touch before drilling a dangerous ball into the box which Baga clears.
14'
Kovalev makes some yards going up the pitch but as he tries to pass to Signevich, Rodon does well to spot the danger and get to the ball first.
12'
The first few minutes of this friendly were slow, but in the past few minutes both sides have had chances and the tempo has really increased. It's becoming a good contest.
10'
It's Belarus' turn to get forward and the chance to do so is handed to them on a plate by Mepham, whose pass goes straight to Signevich, who has space on the edge of the area. He's not the most nimble of attackers though and his first touch is poor, allowing Roberts to slide in and win the ball back.
6'
That's a sloppy pass from Mepham and it goes straight to the feet of Bakhar from just inside his own half, but the hosts recover easily.
5'
It's absolutely pouring down in Cardiff, which could make keeping hold of the ball that bit harder.
3'
James gets forward and teases a cross from the left in towards Moore but Plotnikov collects easily.
Wales are just happy keeping possession at the back and Belarus - especially in these early stages - aren't on the high press.
2'
It's a composed start to the game from Wales and they are keeping possession well. However, James gives away a foul for a push on Yablonsky.
1'
Wales kick us off for the first half. Here we go!

Both sides come into this fixture off the back of victories in Euro 2020 qualifying on Friday. Wales defeated Azerbaijan 2-1 with Gareth Bale on the scoresheet, while Belarus edged past Estonia by the same scoreline with a 92nd-minute winner courtesy of substitute Maksim Skavysh.
On paper, Wales look the favourites to claim a victory here. They have beaten Belarus in three of their previous four meetings, with Belarus failing to win either of their two away meetings with tonight’s opponents.
The players are making their way out onto the pitch, so kick-off shouldn’t be too far away now.
Belarus have had their chances, but they have only come from poor Wales passes or misjudgements and that will be one thing Giggs will be mentioning to his players in the dressing room. As for Belarus, they have created very little of their own and will need to find some creativity from somewhere if they are to get back into this one.
That is all from this live text commentary, thank you for following. Goodbye.
The first international break of the season is now over for both these sides, and they will reconvene next month for respective Euro 2020 qualifying double-headers. Wales play Slovakia and Croatia, while Belarus face Estonia and Netherlands.
Belarus' second change at half-time sees Ngome come on for Kovalev.
Belarus make two changes at half-time, the first of which sees Yablonsky come off for Maevski.
