Dionisi flicks on the ball and he claims it hit the arm of Cutrone near the front post. The referee says it hit the Milan substitute in the midriff, though, so it is just a corner for Frosinone.
90'
Milan are standing off their opponents, allowing them to knock the ball around. The hosts have been given a couple of scares in this second half, either side of scoring their two goals, and they will not want to give Frosinone a route into the match. Three minutes have been added on.
86'
Kessie has looked incredibly clumsy on the ball at times today. He slips yet again but nothing comes of it. A good sliding block from Maiello prevents Conti from creating anything in the box.
84'
A. Conti enters the game and replaces I. Abate.
Abate, making his final appearance at San Siro in a Milan shirt, is replaced by Conti. The departing player is given a warm applause as he makes his way off the pitch.
83'
This match is just petering out a little. Milan seem happy with their day's work after opening up a two-goal margin. Frosinone are seeing a lot more of the ball but they are not really troubling their opponents, with that Dionisi miss a little earlier surely ending their hopes of snatching a point.
81'
Samu Castillejo enters the game and replaces K. Piątek.
Piatek leaves the field having ended his goal drought. Castillejo is brought on in his place with less than 10 minutes to go.
80'
Ariaudo and Cutrone both have their arms wrapped around each other inside the Milan box. The referee Gianluca Manganiello deems that Cutrone is the guilty party and awards the visitors a free-kick, rather than pointing to the penalty spot for the second time today.
77'
D. Ciofani enters the game and replaces C. Ciano.
Donnarumma races out of his box and takes no chances as he taps the ball out of play. Frosinone have offered a little more attacking threat over the last few minutes but they are running out of time to find a route back into the game.
Frosinone's third and final change sees Ciofani replaced by Ciano.
75'
L. Valzania enters the game and replaces A. Beghetto.
Beghetto is replaced by Valzania in Frosinone's second change of the contest.
Minute
Description
73'
Abate, who will be a relieved man as he was the player who gave away the penalty, calmly heads the ball back to Donnarumma as a rare Frosinone attack breaks down.
72'
Either side of their penalty miss, Frosinone have not managed a shot on target. The visitors have given a good account of themselves on the whole, though, and they will see this as an opportunity missed after crumbling for Milan's two goals.
70'
Milan have not really done a great deal since edging two goals in front, perhaps sensing that the job is done. A cross from the right is met by Ariaudo inside the six-yard box before Piatek can guide it home.
68'
That really was a special free-kick from Suso which, combined with Piatek's close-range finish, should be enough for Milan to pick up the win they are desperate for. It could have been so much different had Ciano converted his penalty for the visitors.
66'
Suso has scored a goal for AC Milan!
GOOOAAALLL!!! MILAN 2-0 FROSINONE! Calhanoglu won the free-kick but he allows Suso to take it - and the winger does not disappoint as he lifts the ball over the wall and into the back of the net via the underside of the crossbar. Milan have some breathing space!
65'
F. Dionisi enters the game and replaces M. Trotta.
Baroni makes his first change of the match by bringing on Dionisi for Trotta up top.
63'
Borini looks full of confidence after playing a big part in Milan's opening goal. He tries to work some space down the left but all he has to show for his work is a throw-in. Calhanoglu is then tripped by Brighenti just outside the box before he can shoot.
59'
Seven minutes after Donnarumma saved Ciano's penalty, Piatek edged Milan in front. The home team will now attempt to kill off the match. This would be a huge win for Gattuso's men, drawing them level on points with fourth-place Atalanta ahead of their rivals' trip to Juventus.
57'
K. Piątek has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by F. Borini.
There is no question that Borini was shooting rather than looking to pick out Piatek in front of goal. Either way, he is credited with the assist for a huge goal.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! MILAN 1-0 FROSINONE! Borini's miscued shot is turned in by Piatek, who flicks it past Bardi from inside the six-yard box. The visitors want the offside flag to go up but, following a VAR check, the goal is allowed to stand. Piatek timed his run well and was onside when making contact with Borini's attempt.
56'
Kessie lacks composure when he has the ball at his feet in the box and Frosinone are able to force Milan away from their goal. The home team are steadily building momentum.
55'
Frosinone cannot afford to let their heads drop following that penalty miss. Milan have tinkered with their formation with the introduction of Cutrone but they have still yet to move through the gears.
53'
ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR BORINI! Borini is picked out at the back post by Suso but he decides to nod the ball back across goal as the angle is against him. That proves the wrong choice as none of his team-mates are around to help the ball in - he should have attempted to find the net with his header.
51'
P. Cutrone enters the game and replaces T. Bakayoko.
Gattuso responds to that let-off by bringing on Cutrone for Bakayoko.
50'
Penalty saved by G. Donnarumma!
DONNARUMMA SAVES THE PEN! Ciano tries to pick out the bottom-right corner but Donnarumma gets down to make the save. What a huge moment that could be in the race for a top-four finish!
Ciano's penalty was not the worst you will see but it was not precise enough to beat Donnarumma, who guessed the right way.
48'
I. Abate gets yellow.
Abate is cautioned for bringing down Paganini for the penalty.
PENALTY TO FROSINONE! Paganini gets to the ball before Abate and the full-back clumsily bundles into the back of his opponent. Abate is shown a yellow card but a bigger punishment could follow from the penalty spot.
46'
RESTART! Frosinone, playing for nothing other than pride today, get us back underway at San Siro!
45'
HALF-TIME: MILAN 0-0 FROSINONE
43'
It is Milan's turn to win a corner after Calhanoglu's free-kick is helped behind. Bardi is unable to catch the corner, instead punching it to Calhanoglu who miscues his effort.
42'
The corner is a pretty poor one, sticking to the theme of the game so far. There are three minutes to go until half-time at San Siro.
41'
The worry for Gattuso is that Frosinone are hitting his side on the counter. Trotta wins the ball in a deep position and play is stretched over to the left, where Beghetto is waiting. He wins his side a corner as his cross is deflected behind.
39'
Bardi routinely gathers a cross from the right. That came after Kessie slipped in the box before he could get a shot away.
38'
Bakayoko is caught in possession 20 yards from his own goal and Sammarco does not need a second invitation to shoot. His effort from the edge of the area is high and wide.
37'
Piatek scuffs the ball wide following some good play from Suso on the flank. Milan are running out of time to open the scoring in the first half.
36'
Borini and Piatek exchange passes but Bardi smothers the ball before a shot can arrive. The Frosinone keeper is caught by one of his team-mates and initially stays down, but he is soon back to his feet and play can resume.
34'
It is not happening for Milan in the final third so far. The hosts have gone in behind a couple of times but they have not tested Bardi in the Frosinone goal often enough. Gattuso will be after far more from his players.
32'
Bakayoko is fouled by Goldaniga 25 yards from goal. Calhanoglu takes on the free-kick but is unable to beat the wall.
31'
CLOSE! Calhanoglu digs out a cross and the clearance is only headed as far as Bakayoko 20 yards out. He takes on the volley with his weaker left foot and is not far wide at all with his effort.
29'
Kessie takes Suso's pass in his stride but he cannot fully wrap his foot around the ball to pick out a team-mate in the middle. Ariaudo gets in the way of the cross and a corner is awarded.
27'
Frosinone have done well to frustrate their opponents in the opening half an hour. The hosts have had just one shot on target so far - Bardi comfortably dealing with Suso's shot four minutes in. Piatek is penalised for controlling the ball with his arm.
25'
NEARLY! Suso sends in a teasing cross from the right. Piatek is unable to make any contact with it in the middle and it is also an inch or so out of Borini's reach at the back post.
24'
Piatek's pass runs right through for Bardi to gather. Gattuso's men are struggling to put together more than a few passes at the moment.
23'
Ciano is the latest visiting player to have an attempt, but his shot is closed down. Already-relegated Frosinone are enjoying a spell on top.
20'
Paganini badly overhits his cross and it should be a simple one for Abate to deal with. With no shout from any of his team-mates, though, the full-back takes no chances and helps it behind for a corner.
18'
Frosinone win a throw high up the pitch. The ball is launched into the box and cleared as far as Maiello on the edge of the box, but his volley is horribly off target.
16'
Milan win another corner, which Suso takes. The ball is cleared as far as Kessie and the midfielder's shot ends in the stands.
15'
Milan are starting to play some good football. Suso has two men on him down the right but still manages to keep hold of the ball and pick out Calhanoglu, whose throughball for Kessie is cut out by Ariaudo.
13'
Paganini gets away from Romagnoli but his shot from 30 yards is horribly struck, with the ball ending well wide of the Milan goal.
12'
GOOD BLOCK! Suso slots the ball through for Calhanoglu, who pulls it back for Borini from the byline. Borini's shot from 15 yards is brilliantly closed down by Sammarco.
10'
Goldaniga knocks the ball out of a play as team-mate Brighenti is on the ground clutching his thigh. The makeshift winger is not in need of any treatment, though - he is going to try to run off the injury.
8'
Milan have had 66 per cent of the ball in the opening eight minutes but, Suso's snapshot aside, they have not offered a great deal in the final third. Calhanoglu is clattered by Goldaniga and the hosts have a free-kick.
6'
The ball is scooped over the top for Kessie to latch on to and the midfielder earns his side a corner. Calhanoglu is unable to beat the first man from the set-piece.
4'
SHOT! Suso picks up the ball around 40 yards from goal, carries it forward and gets away a shot that is easily dealt with by Bardi down low.
3'
Frosinone have made a positive start to the match. The visitors are targeting Milan's left-hand side and an early cross into the box causes some panic before it is cleared away.
1'
KICK-OFF! Milan, aiming to keep alive their hopes of a top-four finish in Serie A, get us up and running!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Serie A meeting between AC Milan and Frosinone at San Siro.
Following a run of one victory in eight, Milan have won back-to-back matches and are still in contention to finish in the top four with two games to go. Fifth-place Roma were held to a goalless draw by Sassuolo on Saturday and Atalanta, who are three points better off and occupy the final Champions League qualifying spot, face a trip to champions Juventus later today.
Milan subs: Antonio Donnarumma, Lucas Biglia, Samu Castillejo, Andrea Conti, Jose Mauri, Cristian Zapata, Diego Laxalt, Pepe Reina, Patrick Cutrone.
FROSINONE (3-5-2): Francesco Bardi; Edoardo Goldaniga, Lorenzo Ariaudo, Nicolo Brighenti; Francesco Zampano, Luca Paganini, Paolo Sammarco (c), Raffaele Maiello, Andrea Beghetto; Camillo Ciano, Marcello Trotta.
Frosinone subs: Andrea Errico, Stefan Simi, Daniel Ciofani, Francesco Cassata, Marco Capuano, Federico Dionisi, Andrea Pinamonti, Paolo Ghiglione, Luca Valzania, Luka Krajnc, Alessandro Iacobucci, Cristian Molinaro.
Milan will be hoping to put the pressure on Atalanta with victory against a Frosinone side badly out of form. The visitors have picked up one point from the last 15 on offer and their relegation has already been confirmed, as they are a whopping 14 points adrift of 17th-place Empoli with just six more points left to play for.
The two teams are now out on the field at San Siro and we are moments away from kick-off.
Frosinone are happy to sit back and hit Milan on the counter, which we saw a few times in the first half. The onus is on Milan to find a breakthrough goal in the second half as a point simply will not be good enough for them in their pursuit of Champions League football. Cutrone is among the subs for the hosts are there is a chance Gattuso will change things slightly at the interval.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
Milan will now keep an eye on events at the Allianz Stadium as Atalanta are in action against champions Juventus, while Inter Milan - one point better off in third place - take on Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in a short while. Gattuso's men conclude their season with a trip to SPAL next weekend, while Frosinone host Chievo in the final round of fixtures.
