Bayern have won the competition a record 18 times but haven't lifted the trophy since 2016, when they beat Borussia Dortmund on penalties. They suffered a 3-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in last years final at the Olympiastadion. The winner of this semi-final will face RB Leipzig in the final.
The two sides faced each other at the weekend in the Bundesliga, with Bayern running out 1-0 winners after a late goal from Niklas Sule, to keep their place at the top. Whilst Bremen sit eighth in the table, but prior to the game they had been unbeaten in 12 matches.
Bremen have certainly created enough chances to give them some confidence of getting back into the game during this second half. However, the visitors have a great record over their opponents and don't tend to lose from winning positions very often.
