We're underway at Allianz Arena.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Bundesliga fixture between Bayern Munich and Mainz at the Allianz Arena!
Bayern are looking for a quick riposte to the disappointment of Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool that curtailed their Champions League campaign at the last-16 stage. They face a side who, given the 10-point gap to the bottom three, should be playing top-flight football next season.
Borussia Dortmund's last-gasp 3-2 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday means that Bayern, who had reclaimed top spot last week, start Sunday's action in second place, but with 12 wins from 13 Bundesliga matches Niko Kovac's men will be confident of reaching the summit once again.
So, let's take a look at the line-ups for this one…
BAYERN SUBS: Renato Sanches, Mats Hummels, Rafinha, Lars Lukas Mai, Franck Ribery, Sven Ulreich, Alphonso Davies.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Joshua Kimmich, Jerome Boateng, Niklas Sule, David Alaba; Thiago Alcantara, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Muller, James Rodriguez, Kingsley Coman; Robert Lewandowski.
MAINZ (4-4-2): Florian Muller; Daniel Brosinski, Moussa Niakhate, Alexander Hack, Stefan Bell; Levin Oztunali, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Danny Latza, Jean-Paul Boetius; Jean-Philippe Mateta, Karim Onisiwo.
MAINZ SUBS: Giulio Donati, Aaron Martin, Alexandru Maxim, Pierre Kunde, Robin Quaison, Robin Zentner, Anthony Ujah.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
Sandro Schwarz's men did have a couple of opportunities on the break. Jean-Philippe Mateta failed to sort out his feet in the Bayern box, while Levin Oztunali fired wide after being teed up by Jean-Paul Boetius. Mainz need to improve in the second half to keep the scoreline respectable.
Bayern are next in action against Freiburg on the road after the international break, while Mainz are away to Werder Bremen.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
