Alberto wants to pull the trigger but Calabria steps in to prevent him from doing so. The first of three added-on minutes have been played.
90'
A. Marušić enters the game and replaces Rômulo.
Romulo has been heavily involved today down the right-hand side, but his crossing has often been poor and his shooting not much better. Marusic takes over for the closing stages.
87'
Bastos gets up early to meet the inswinging corner, only to direct his header over the crossbar from 12 yards.
86'
L. Biglia enters the game and replaces Lucas Paquetá.
Paqueta is replaced by Biglia, who spent four years with Lazio but is jeered by the home fans as he enters the field.
85'
There is no real change to the flow of the match - Lazio are the side asking all of the questions, but Milan are doing just about enough to keep them out. Gattuso would surely accept a 0-0 draw if offered to him now.
83'
Caicedo's shot deflects wide and Lazio have a corner, which ultimately comes to little. Biglia is being readied to come on for the visitors, leading to plenty of jeers around the Stadio Olimpico for the former Lazio player.
81'
F. Caicedo enters the game and replaces C. Immobile.
Caicedo is on for Immobile, who wasted by far the best chance of the match in the first half and came close through that offside opportunity a few minutes ago.
80'
G. Donnarumma gets yellow.
Donnarumma, sensing that the home side are growing in confidence, wastes a bit of time and is shown a yellow card.
78'
D. Calabria gets yellow.
Patric gets yellow.
Calabria is indeed shown a yellow card for that challenge on Correa. The referee did well to let play continue before reaching into his pocket.
Patric is also shown a yellow card for a pretty shocking tackle on Borini near the edge of the pitch. That could easily have been a red card, in my opinion.
Minute
Description
77'
Lazio hit their opponents on the counter after Paqueta's shot is closed down on the edge of the box. Calabria illegally tries to stop Correa in his tracks and he will surely be cautioned when the ball goes out of play...
76'
If nothing else, the second leg will be finely poised in two months' time. There is still time for Lazio, or indeed Milan, to find a way through, but it is looking as though this one is going to finish all square as the tempo has dropped massively.
74'
Luis Alberto enters the game and replaces M. Parolo.
Parolo is replaced by Alberto in the home side's first change of the contest - a positive switch from Inzaghi.
73'
Samu Castillejo enters the game and replaces Suso.
Suso, who has been poor today, makes way for Castillejo with a little over 15 minutes to go at the Stadio Olimpico.
72'
Bastos tries to carry the ball to the edge of the box, but Paqueta takes it from his opponent's feet. It looks as though both teams are about to make a change or two...
71'
ANOTHER SHOT! Musacchio dives in to win the ball, just when Lazio were building some momentum. It does go behind for a corner, though, which is worked short to Romulo. The wing-back cuts inside and is the latest player to be denied by Donnarumma with a pretty poor effort.
69'
Milan have edged things in terms of possession, seeing 54 per cent of the ball across the opening 69 minutes, but they have been second best in terms of chances created. Lazio have looked the brighter in front of goal but their profligacy may come back to haunt them come the end of the second leg.
65'
The chance for Immobile in the first half remains the closest either side has come to taking a first-half lead. The game has gone incredibly quiet again now, with neither team able to really keep hold of the ball.
63'
SIMPLE SAVE! Immobile feels that he was pushed in the back by Romagnoli inside the box, but the striker is flagged for offside anyway. From the next attacking move, a Lucas shot is comfortably dealt with by Donnarumma.
61'
HEADED CHANCE! Romulo's cross deflects behind off Borini for a corner, which Milinkovic-Savic gets on the end of. The header has too much on it, though, looping high and wide of the target.
60'
Calhanoglu, who certainly knows how to hit the ball, has a go from more than 40 yards out but fails to get it through a sea of bodies in the box.
59'
The opening 15 minutes of this second half have been incredibly stop-start. Neither team has managed to build any real momentum, though much like in the first half it is the hosts who are looking the more likely to make a breakthrough.
57'
Correa leads a counter that ends with him being tripped by Romagnoli on the edge of the box. The defender makes slight contact with his opponent and, already on a yellow from the first half, is fortunate that the referee does not spot it.
55'
Patric tells Piatek to get up after the Milan striker went to the ground under little - if any - contact. It has been an incredibly frustrating first leg for Piatek, who has eight goals in the Coppa Italia this season. There is still plenty of time for him to make an impact, though!
53'
The corner is swung into the box and Strakosha, under pressure from Bakayoko, gets two hands to it. Moments later, a superb cross form the right is met by Milinkovic-Savic at the other end of the field, but he is punished for a push on Musacchio.
51'
BETTER FROM MILAN! Piatek gets on the end of Paqueta's throughball and tries to catch out Strakosha with an early shot, but Patric gets in the way at the expense of a corner.
50'
Suso is caught in the face by a flailing arm from Bastos. The referee awards a free-kick but does not reach into his pocket.
49'
Piatek, who has barely been mentioned so far today, gets back to clear Romulo's delivery. Milan are having to focus almost entirely on defending at the moment.
47'
Lazio have come out the brighter of the two sides at the start of the second half. Milinkovic-Savic sends the ball towards the front post and Romagnoli clears it behind for a corner.
46'
Milan, who are seven points better off than Lazio in Serie A after playing a game more, get this Coppa Italia semi-final back underway!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: LAZIO 0-0 MILAN
45' +1
Two minutes have been added on at the end of a first half that the home side have edged. Bakayoko is caught in the face by Lucas and the Brazilian midfielder is perhaps fortunate to avoid a booking.
45'
Milinkovic-Savic fires the free-kick into the Lazio wall. What an anti-climax that is!
44'
A. Romagnoli gets yellow.
Correa draws the foul from Romagnoli around 23 yards from the Milan goal. The Lazio attacker knows exactly what he is doing, getting his foot to the ball ahead of his opponent to earn a free-kick.
42'
WEAK ATTEMPT! The home side have another penalty appeal rejected, this time for a challenge in the box. While their complaints are ongoing, Calhanoglu gets a shot on target that is easy for Strakosha to deal with down the middle.
40'
SAVE! It is constant pressure from Lazio now. Following some panic in the Milan box, which saw the ball possibly hit Musacchio on the arm, Lucas tries his luck from range and forces Donnarumma to make the save.
39'
Milan give possession away and Lazio get the ball forward. It is worked to Parolo on the edge of the box, and he curls a shot just over the crossbar.
38'
JUST WIDE! Lazio are threatening to find a breakthrough goal as we edge closer to half-time. Nobody gets close enough to Milinkovic-Savic on the edge of the box and he fires a snapshot inches wide from 20 yards.
37'
Bastos remains alert to clear a loose ball that nearly deflected into the path of Piatek. Following a period of sustained pressure from Lazio, the visiting side are now starting to see more of the ball.
35'
M. Parolo gets yellow.
Parolo is cautioned for a mistimed challenge on Borini, who was looking to break clear.
34'
Milinkovic-Savic watches the ball all the way but sends his acrobatic volley over the crossbar. Talk about audacious!
33'
Lazio, already unhappy that the penalty appeal a couple of minutes ago did not go their way, again feel hard done by as Musacchio catches Milinkovic-Savic with his arm but avoids punishment. The match has a nice edge to it now.
31'
Inzaghi will feel that his side should be a goal up now after coming close through a couple of shots in the space of two minutes. Lazio are looking very bright in the final third, asking plenty of questions of Milan's defence. Paqueta catches Correa in the box but he gets some of the ball.
29'
H. Çalhanoğlu enters the game and replaces F. Kessié.
Kessie's knee has been heavily bandaged since being caught by Parolo and it has now been decided that he is unable to continue. Calhanoglu is brought on in his place - a huge blow for the visitors.
26'
CLOSE! Lazio deserve credit for keeping Piatek as quiet as they have. The hosts finally give their supporters something to cheer about as Patric is allowed to carry the ball forward and get a shot away, which flashes wide of the post. Donnarumma was at full stretch.
24'
Milan had just under 59 per cent of the ball in the opening quarter of the match. It has been a frustrating start to the contest for their three forward players, though, as they have barely had a touch of the ball. This semi-final has yet to get going.
22'
Parolo is the latest Lazio player to be played into space in a wide position, but like Romulo before him he struggles to really make the most of the opportunity.
17'
NEARLY! The first goalscoring opportunity of the game falls the visitors' way. Bakayoko's strike deflects off Borini and it is worked to Paqueta, whose effort from 12 yards is charged down inside the box.
15'
Good play from Milan, with Suso and Paqueta linking just outside the box. Like up the other end of the field, though, there is nothing at the end of the move as Lazio stand firm.
13'
Milan finally get the chance to counter. Immobile bursts through the middle and his run is halted by Romagnoli, but the referee does not believe that enough contact was made for a free-kick to be awarded.
12'
Pass, pass, pass from Lazio but little end product. Romulo, not for the first time today, fails to pick out a team-mate with his cross from the right.
11'
Lazio are being allowed to knock the ball around inside their own half. Milan are getting bodies back behind the ball, seemingly setting themselves up for the counter. They have been unable to burst forward yet, but the tactic is clear to see.
9'
Borini is flattened by Romulo, who has not had the best of starts to the match. Milan's forward players have not really managed to get on the ball in and around the Lazio box so far.
8'
The Stadio Olimpico is far from full today but those in attendance are making plenty of noise. The home side have started in a good manner, but you get the sense that Milan are soaking up the pressure before they get going.
6'
It has been a high tempo start to the match, but it has been littered with mistakes. Lazio have seen more of the ball than their opponents and Romulo has a great chance to get the ball into the box, but Borini closes down his cross.
4'
Immobile starts his run a little too early and is flagged offside before he can burst through on goal - the correct call from the officials. That was a nice pass from Lucas in behind.
2'
Milan are playing with confidence in the opening stages of the match - fully expected from a side boasting three wins on the trot - as they try to pass their way out of danger at the back.

Lazio get the first leg of this Coppa Italia semi-final underway!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg between Lazio and AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.
This is a repeat of last season's semi-final, which Milan won 5-4 on penalties following a goalless conclusion to the two legs. The five-time winners of this competition were beaten 4-0 by Juventus at this ground in the final, but the draw has well and truly opened up this time around as the champions of Italy were knocked out by Atalanta in the last round. Both Milan and Lazio will see this as a big opportunity to add some silverware to their collection, then, with Fiorentina and Juve's conquerors Atalanta facing off in the other semi.
LAZIO XI (3-5-2): Thomas Strakosha; Patric, Francesco Acerbi, Bastos; Romulo, Marco Parolo, Lucas Leiva, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Senad Lulic (c); Joaquin Correa, Ciro Immobile.
Lazio subs: Danilo Cataldi, Adam Marusic, Riza Durmisi, Pedro Neto, Guido Guerrieri, Felipe Caicedo, Milan Badelj, Bruno Jordao, Silvio Proto, Luiz Felipe, Luis Alberto.
MILAN XI (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Davide Calabria, Mateo Musacchio, Alessio Romagnoli (c), Diego Laxalt; Franck Kessie, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Lucas Paqueta; Suso, Krzysztof Piatek, Fabio Borini.
Milan subs: Ricardo Rodriguez, Andrea Conti, Jose Reina, Samu Castillejo, Riccardo Montolivo, Antonio Donnarumma, Andrea Bertolacci, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ignazio Abate, Patrick Cutrone, Lucas Biglia, Ivan Strinic.
Lazio head into this match on the back of three successive defeats in all competitions, two of those coming to Sevilla in the Europa League to see their European adventure come to an end in the first knockout round. Simone Inzaghi's side are sixth in Serie A, seven points adrift of today's opponents with a game in hand to play. Milan have won three league matches in a row to tighten their grip on fourth place, meanwhile, and Gennaro Gattuso now has a great chance to win a major managerial honour by going one better than last season and lifting the Coppa Italia.
The two teams are now out on the field at the Stadio Olimpico and we are moments away from kick-off.
Gattuso's side were pretty disappointing in the opening 45 minutes, but they were not helped by the loss of key midfielder Kessie to an apparent knee injury. Lazio manager Inzaghi will be the happier of the two at the midway point, though the bottom line is that it is all square heading into the second half.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
Milan's winning run comes to an end, but Gattuso will be happy enough ahead of April's return fixture on home soil. There are a number of Serie A matches to come before then, though, beginning with Saturday's home clash with Sassuolo. Lazio are in action on the same day, as they take on Roma here in what should be a feisty affair.
