We're underway at Wembley.
Newcastle pulled off one of the best results of the season to defeat Manchester City 2-1 at St James' Park during the week. Rafael Benitez's men went down 1-0 inside 30 seconds when Sergio Aguero pounced. However, Salomon Rondon equalised for the Magpies before Matt Ritchie fired home a late penalty. Their win moved the Tynesiders five points clear of the relegation zone, although there's still work ahead of them. The mood around the club will have changed completely, further boosted by the record signing of Miguel Almiron on deadline day.
Tottenham secured a huge result during the week after a difficult run of form without Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Spurs came from behind to defeat Watford in the Premier League courtesy of late strikes from Son Heung-min and Fernando Llorente. The result just about kept Mauricio Pochettino's men in the title race, although they trail Liverpool by seven points at the top.

It's goalless at the break between Tottenham and Newcastle at Wembley Stadium. Spurs have had the best of the opportunities in the first half, but have failed to capitalise on them. Lucas Moura missed the best opening for the first period, heading wide from close range from Erik Lamela's cross. Lamela also hit the bar for the home side with a headed effort from close range, while Martin Dubravka denied Moussa Sissoko a goal against his former club. Mauricio Pochettino will be frustrated with his team's lack of clinical edge in the final third.
The gameplan is working for Rafa Benitez and Newcastle at half-time. They've had a bit of fortune as Lucas and Lamela both missed their openings. However, the visitors have been solid enough at the back and even started to push men forward towards the end of the half. If they remain tight at the back in the second half, the Magpies may have the confidence to nick a winner.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Tottenham are next in action against Leicester City in the Premier League next week at Wembley, while Newcastle face Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road in nine days.
