We're underway at the King Power Stadium.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
However, Paul Lambert's men have won one of their last eight Premier League matches. They had the chance to produce a comeback victory against Brighton last time out after Xherdan Shaqiri cancelled out Jose Izquierdo's strike. They were handed a penalty at the death, but following an argument between Charlie Adam and Jese Rodriguez, the Scot missed from the spot and spurned the opening on the rebound. That could prove costly come the end of the campaign.
Stoke are fighting for their Premier League future, with the club currently sitting in 19th place in the table. They're two points adrift of safety, but the close nature of the battle for the drop this term means that they're only a good run of form away from pulling out of the bottom three.
The Foxes advanced to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last time out. They defeated Sheffield United 1-0 on home soil thanks to Jamie Vardy's headed effort. The club are winless in their last three Premier League games, including a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City in their last league match. Puel will be desperate to end that run of form this afternoon.
Leicester are in the safety of the top half of the Premier League after taking 35 points from their 27 matches. Claude Puel's men are just clear of the scramble in the bottom half, which sees the bottom nine sides separated by five points. There's still time for the Foxes to get dragged into the battle, therefore a win this afternoon is vital to drag them over the 40-point mark as soon as possible.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Leicester and Stoke at the King Power Stadium.
LEICESTER (4-4-1-1): Kasper Schmeichel; Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell; Riyad Mahrez, Matty James, Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton; Demarai Gray; Jamie Vardy.
Leicester subs: Kelechi Iheanacho, Adrien Silva, Aleksandar Dragovic, Eldin Jakupovic, Vicente Iborra, Christian Fuchs, Fousseni Diabate.
Stoke subs: Erik Pieters, Glen Johnson, Jese Rodriguez, Charlie Adam, Ramadan Sobhi, Lee Grant, Tyrese Campbell.
Leicester have made two changes from the side that defeated Sheffield United in the FA Cup last week. James and Albrighton come into the side to replace Iheanacho and Iborra, with both players dropping to the bench this afternoon. Vardy leads the line supported by Gray sitting just behind him in an expected 4-4-1-1 formation.
STOKE (4-3-3): Jack Butland; Moritz Bauer, Bruno Martins Indi, Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Stafylidis; Joe Allen, Geoff Cameron, Badou Ndiaye; Xherdan Shaqiri, Eric Choupo-Moting, Mame Biram Diouf.
Stoke have made three changes from their 1-1 draw with Brighton last time out. Stafylidis is handed his Premier League debut at left-back as Pieters drops to the bench. Geoff Cameron starts ahead of Darren Fletcher in the middle of the park, with the Scot missing out on the squad altogether. Martins Indi replaces Shawcross, who is out with an ankle injury. Adam and Jese retain their places on the bench.
STAT! Stoke have won just twice in their last 29 visits away to Leicester in all competitions (D16 L11), with both victories arriving in their last 10 trips.
STAT! Leicester City have lost only one of their seven previous Premier League matches against Stoke City (W3 D3) – losing 1-0 at the King Power Stadium in January 2015.
STAT! Leicester won five of their first eight Premier League games under Claude Puel (D2 L1) – they’ve won just two of the last 10 (D3 L5).
STAT! The Potters are on their longest away winless Premier League run (eight games) since September 2015 (also eight without a win), last going nine without victory in March 2014 (13 games).
HALF-TIME: LEICESTER 0-1 STOKE
Stoke hold a 1-0 lead at the break against Leicester thanks to Xherdan Shaqiri's strike. Neither side had created a clear-cut opening at goal before Joe Allen dispossessed Wilfred Ndidi and teed up the Swiss on the edge of the box. He did not disappoint, scoring for the second game on the bounce. The Potters have been tenacious at the back to limit Leicester in the final third. If that level of performance continues, Paul Lambert's men could be on their way to three vital points.
FULL-TIME: LEICESTER 1-1 STOKE
It's honours even at the King Power Stadium as Jack Butland's own goal cancelled out Xherdan Shaqiri's opener. Stoke were the better side, but could not find the second goal to kill off the game. Leicester were handed a goal out of nothing when Butland palmed the ball into his own net. The Foxes could well have stolen all three points, only to be twice denied by the post. Both teams will take the result, although it does not help Paul Lambert's men a great deal in their battle against the drop.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
