Over the bar! It's just not the Netherlands' day. So often we see Van Persie make those same runs into the area, via the left channel, and crash a shot just under the bar. Not this time, however, as he lifts his effort just a fraction over the goal.
90' +1
Into the first of five minutes of stoppage time, but there's little reason for Turkey to worry now. They are comfortably in front and the Dutch have few ideas about a comeback.
89'
With the victory, Turkey will move two points ahead of the Netherlands in third place with two games remaining. Faith Terim's side still have two crucial matches left against the top teams in Group A, at Czech Republic and home to Iceland. The Dutch have still to play at Kazakhstan and then a home date with the Czech's to finish things off - so Turkey have their work cut out for them still.
87'
O. Tufan gets yellow.
Surely that's it for the Oranje's hopes of a comeback. It's been a miserable evening for Danny Blind and the Dutch, but one they won't ever forget in Turkey! The hosts have just a few more minutes to run off the clock and they can start celebrating.
85'
B. Yılmaz has scored a goal for Türkiye! Assist by C. Erkin.
YILMAZ SEALS IT FOR TURKEY! There may well have been a foul in the build-up, and Van der Wiel is pleading his case, but it's fallen upon deaf ears! Erkin tugs back the shirt of the right-back, though nothing is given and he's allowed to pick up the ball and walk into the area. The left-back picks out Yilmaz in the centre and he smashes a shot into the ceiling of the net!
83'
O. Şahan enters the game and replaces O. Özyakup.
Too much passing from the Dutch is also an issue. They're getting into good positions atop the area, but with so many red shirts back there in defence, they can't get their passes through. Babacan hasn't been tested enough and some of these players have to start being more selfish.
81'
CRUCIAL DEFENDING! Promes does well to win the ball and pick out an exceptional pass out wide for Sneijder. He drills a low cross in towards the near post, but Balta stays with Van Persie to prevent him from directing an effort on goal. Pressure is relentless now from the Dutch.
79'
The Dutch are throwing everyone forward now in an attempt to pull one back, but they can't find the bit of creativity they need for the breakthrough. Sneijder latches onto a pass in midfield and goes for goal, but this effort isn't up to his usual standards as it rolls harmlessly wide of the post. Time running out.....
77'
STAT ATTACK: Turkey have played four competitive matches on September 6 previously, and are unbeaten on this date without conceding a single goal (W3, D1). Their opponents were Austria (2011), Malta (2006), Liechtenstein (2003) and Hungary (1995).
75'
O. Özyakup gets yellow.
Again at Babacan! A Sneijder free kick is headed behind for a corner. The ensuing delivery is met by Bruma, but he sends an effort straight at the keeper! Meanwhile, Turkey pick up consecutive bookings, both for arguing with the referee.
Minute
Description
74'
H. Balta gets yellow.
L. de Jong enters the game and replaces D. Blind.
Luuk de Jong becomes the final Dutch player introduced. He'll move alongside Van Persie up top and he gets a real chance just seconds after coming on, heading another Sneijder free kick just wide of the far post!
73'
Important intervention from Topal! Memphis and Van Persie work a clever give-and-go atop the area. The former takes a return pass and looks to get his shot off, but the Turkish substitute sticks a foot in to break it up!
71'
Turkey have a decent spell in possession now following a free kick conceded by Promes. The hosts aren't doing much to advance it up the pitch, however, keeping it at the back before lobbing it forward and letting the Netherlands win it back. All their focus is on defending this now.
69'
Ş. Özbayraklı gets yellow.
Every attack the visitors are looking to get the ball out wide to Memphis. He's provided some excellent crosses in from the flank, but this time can't replicate the effort as he over-hits it, sending the ball behind for a goal kick. Where's the killer instinct from the Netherlands? On comes Quincy Promes, maybe he can provide a spark.
68'
Q. Promes enters the game and replaces L. Narsingh.
67'
Turkey appear very comfortable as they try and prevent the Dutch from finding a way back into the game. The visitors seem quite frustrated and discouraged based on their body language, which doesn't bode well for them heading into the final 20 minutes.
66'
M. Topal enters the game and replaces H. Çalhanoğlu.
65'
Calhanoglu becomes the second Turkish player replaced, as he gives way for holding midfielder Mehmet Topal. All hands on deck now for the hosts in defence as they look to see this lead out and claim sole possession of third place in Group A.
64'
STAT ATTACK: Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder plays in the Turkish league with Galatasaray. He’s made 74 appearances in the Super Lig, scoring 27 goals and adding 10 assists.
62'
G. van der Wiel gets yellow.
Van der Wiel picks up a yellow card for a bit of a soft foul on Tufan, which means he will be forced to miss out on the next match. That could pave the way for another Ajax teen, Kenny Tete, to get the start.
61'
Calhanoglu is dispossessed in his own end after a period of Dutch pressure amounted to nothing. Klaassen did well to win it back and pick out Van Persie, who lays it off for Sneijder, but the midfielder is unable to get a shot off from a promising position atop the area.
59'
Well it's been a nice period for Turkey approaching the hour mark as they have a welcome break in defence. The Dutch need to find that sense of urgency yet again as time starts to run out on them. At the moment, it hardly looks like they have it in them to turn this around.
57'
V. Şen enters the game and replaces A. Turan.
Arda Turan has picked up a knock and will have to be replaced here, which is a bit of a blow for this Turkish side. He's been involved in both goals, but they will have to live without his presence going forward for the last 30 minutes as he's replaced by Volkan Sen.
56'
Decent effort! Turkey fail to clear their lines following a corner and the ball once again finds its way to Memphis on the left. He quickly takes a step in and drives a strike at goal, forcing Babacan into action for the first time in this second half.
54'
Pressure starting to mount as Turkey drop deeper and deeper in defence. Memphis and Sneijder are linking up well in attack, with the former appearing to be the Dutch's best route back into the game. The hosts are struggling to provide relief for their back line.
52'
STAT ATTACK: The Netherlands have kept clean sheets in each of their last nine victories in Euro Cup qualifying matches away from home. They are winless in their last eight in which they conceded at least a goal (D1, L7), since a 2-1 win over Moldova in April 2003.
50'
SHOCKING MISS! Great movement by Van Persie into the area as he takes both centre-backs with him, allowing Memphis to pick out an unmarked Wijnaldum in the centre. The substitute scuffs the chance completely, however, bouncing a tame effort well wide of goal from the top of the six-yard box!
48'
Lots of possession for the Dutch early in this half, but still no test for Babacan. They appear a bit frazzled as a result of the deficit they are faced with, but have to take it one goal at a time - and be careful not to concede a third which would certainly put an end to the game.
46'
G. Wijnaldum enters the game and replaces S. de Vrij.
Into the final 45 minutes we go! Georginio Wijnaldum is on in midfield, replacing Stefan de Vrij, which will likely see Blind push into defence.
45' +1
Clever from Memphis as he bursts into the centre from the left and fakes the shot before trying to send a back-heel to play Van Persie through. Aziz reads it well and clears, however, which brings the half to an end.
45'
There will be just one minute added on at the end of this first half, as the Dutch win a throw near the halfway line on the right.
44'
Turkey are keeping their shape very well, and they have a two-goal lead to defend, but you get the sense that they could be playing with fire if they continue to sit back and invite Dutch pressure. They haven't been made to pay yet, however, as we inch toward the break.
42'
Another great ball in from Memphis! He sends a wonderfully-inviting cross in from the left, which Klaassen does well to run onto. He's put under pressure from Balta, however, and bounces his effort over the bar.
40'
Possession remains with the Netherlands as they desperately try and cut the deficit in half before the break. Sneijder plays a probing ball beyond the defence to pick out Van Persie, but Balta is able to stay with him and get a piece of the shot to take the sting out of it, allowing Babacan to collect.
38'
The Dutch win a free kick on the left, but do nothing to restore their fragile confidence as Sneijder's delivery sails over the head of everyone and beyond the far post, behind for a goal kick. Something has to change of the Oranje could find themselves watching the 2016 European Championships from their homes.
36'
R. van Persie gets yellow.
Wonderful effort from Yilmaz! It's more shocking defending, this time from Bruma who doesn't get anywhere near close enough to the striker on what was a simple ball forward. Yilmaz is allowed to turn and shoot, but this time Cillessen does well to keep it out.
34'
STAT ATTACK: Turkey and the Netherlands were also drawn in the same group in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. The Oranje recorded a pair of 2-0 victories, with Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder on target for the Dutch in Istanbul.
32'
JUST OFFSIDE! Van Persie holds the ball up well and fends off a defender as he strides forward. He doesn't spot the run of Narsingh to the right, but picks out an equally threatening pass to send Memphis through - but the flag goes up at the last second. It was no more than an inch or two offside.
30'
Again the Dutch get forward and find their way through, but the finish is lacking. Van Persie's diagonal run is picked out, but Balta does just enough to force a weak effort at goal that was never going to trouble Babacan.
28'
This isn't at all going according to plan for the Dutch. They have played well in the attacking half, but it's been nowhere near good enough in defence and they've been made to pay for it. Two chances for Turkey and they have two goals!
26'
A. Turan has scored a goal for Türkiye!
A SECOND FOR TURKEY! It comes completely against the run of play, and the hosts are in dreamland! Blind is poor in defending, unable to keep Turan out, while De Vrij gets nowhere close to closing down the gap. The Barcelona midfielder breaks into the area and his shot somehow beats Cillessen at the near post! He has to be keeping that out!
24'
A. Turan gets yellow.
STRAIGHT AT BABACAN! Lovely build-up play from the Oranje, however, and that will have to give them some encouragement. Memphis does well on the left and picks out Van Persie in the centre. The striker holds it up and lays it off to pick out the late run of Sneijder, but he sends his powerful first-time strike straight at Babacan.
22'
STAT ATTACK: Turkey are unbeaten in their last five qualifying matches (W2, D3), since a 2-1 loss at home to the Czech Republic in October 2014.
20'
JUST OVER! Dreadful marking from the Dutch as Calhanoglu whips a free kick in towards the far post. Aziz meets it and heads to ground, but it bounces just over the bar and onto the roof of the net. Cillessen did appear to have it covered though.
18'
Turkey get on the front foot again, for the first time since their opener. They're moving very well off the ball to open up space in the Dutch defence, and Turan tries to utilize it with a strike at goal - but sends his effort well wide from distance.
16'
The Oranje are dominating possession and seem to be inching their way towards an equalizer. Memphis puts in some lovely work in along the left and drives a pacey cross into the centre. Klaassen makes a well-timed run into the area, but can't make clean contact with the header as it goes behind for a goal kick.
14'
GREAT SAVE! That's exactly how to break down a high back-line! Brilliant one-two between Narsingh and Van Persie, with the striker playing a tremendous back-heel to send him through. The PSV winger can't beat Babacan who stretches wide to make the save, but would have perhaps been better off squaring up for Sneijder in the centre!
12'
Turkey are taking a very risky approach at the back. They're playing the offside trap, pushing high up with the Dutch in possession. The only way to break that down is playing quick one-two passes or switching the ball out wide and attacking down the flank - there has been space for Memphis and Narsingh early on.
10'
This is the start Danny Blind would have had nightmares about. They have to go forward and get a goal now, not an easy task in this venue. The quality is certainly there, but scoring has been a real issue for the Dutch of late. Their qualifying campaign is in serious jeopardy now!
8'
O. Özyakup has scored a goal for Türkiye! Assist by A. Turan.
TURKEY HAVE THE BREAKTHROUGH! It's a wonderful move into attack as they catch the two Dutch centre-halves sleeping! Turan plays a simple pass through to pick out the run of Ozyakup who waits out Cillessen and chips the ball in at the far post for his first international goal - and what a big one it is at that!
7'
STAT ATTACK: The last time Netherlands failed to qualify for the European Championships was in 1984, which is also the last occasion France hosted the tournament. They went on to win the whole thing in 1988.
5'
Turkey are the ones pushing the pace early, and they don't have much of a choice as they require all three points. They're playing with a very high line in defence and are nearly caught as Narsingh is played through on the right, but the offside flag saves them.
3'
The two sides are feeling each other out, shaking off any nerves they may have in these early stages of the match. With so much at stake and both teams fighting for their lives, the cagey beginning to the match is understandable.

And we're off in this massive Group A fixture!
Good evening footy fans around the world, and welcome to coverage of this crucial Euro Cup qualification match! The Torku Arena is our venue tonight and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Turkey host the Netherlands in a game both absolutely have to claim maximum points from, or they will risk watching next summer’s tournament from home. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
The Netherland's loss to Iceland and Turkey's draw with Latvia pretty much put an end to their automatic qualification hopes. The teams are now battling it out for third place and low and behold, they face off today in Konya. It is a monumental clash with both teams controlling their own destiny as they attempt to navigate their way into November’s all-important play-off.
The Dutch could get by with a draw, as they enter the match a point ahead of Turkey in Group A. Playing for the tie would be a dangerous game, however, as the hosts pack plenty of quality in their team to burn them. Danny Blind’s takeover didn’t have the same desired effect as they fell in his debut, while the Red and Whites have been through a turbulent campaign of their own under Faith Terim. Both have failed to impress in the qualifying phase, but something has to give as they do battle today in what promises to be a hostile environment at the Torku Arena.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
NETHERLANDS (4-3-3): Cillessen; van der Wiel, de Vrij, Bruma, Riedewald; Blind, Klaassen, Sneijder; Narsingh, Memphis, van Persie.
SUBS: Lens, Krul, Kongolo, Tete, Promes, Afellay, Huntelaar, Zoet, Wijnaldum, van Dijk, de Jong, Anita.
Changes aplenty for the Oranje and it doesn't come as much of a surprise. Danny Blind had his hands forced with the injury to Arjen Robben and suspension of Bruno Martins Indi, replacing the duo with Jeffrey Bruma and Luciano Narsingh. In comes Robin van Persie as well, making his 99th cap at the expense of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The new boss is taking a more cautious approach, however, as he pushes his son Daley Blind into a holding role in midfield, forcing Georginio Wijnaldum to the bench. The Manchester United-man will provide better defensive cover while allowing Davy Klaassen to play in a more advanced role which he is familliar with. In for Blind at left-back is Ajax teenager Jairo Riedewald who is rewarded for a strong start to the domestic season with a first international cap.
Faith Terim has made some defensive tweaks to his team, considering the attacking prowess of their opponents compared to that of Thurday's visitors Latvia, with all due respect. Ozan Tufan, who played in defence last matchday, pushes up to the wing, with Sener Ozbayrakli taking his place at right-back. Young attacking midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup gets the start in midfield. Giving way are two attack-minded players in Gokhan Tore and Volkan Sen who are relegated to a place on the bench.
HALF TIME: TURKEY 2-0 NETHERLANDS. It's a shocking scoreline at the break as the hosts make the most of their limited time in attack, pouncing on the Dutch defensive errors to take a commanding lead with them into the break. The Oranje are fighting for their lives in Group A and have just 45 minutes to try and salvage something without their playmaker and captain Arjen Robben.
FULL TIME: TURKEY 3-0 NETHERLANDS. Faith Terim's side claim sole possession of third place as they deal the Oranje's qualifying hopes a massive blow in Konya. Turkey didn't have a lot to speak of going forward, but capitalizing on some poor Dutch defending early to grab a lead and they never looked back!
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
