Toure bombs forward on the right and feeds Suarez in the centre. The Uruguayan puts too much on his pass inside to Moses, but Toure continues his run and gets to it at the byeline. However, the Ivorian's awful first touch sees the ball cross the line for a goal kick.
88'
Good defending from Chester! He showed Coutinho down the outside and kept pace with him before sliding in to stop the Brazilian supplying Suarez with a cross. He even managed to play the ball back off his opponent to earn his team a goal kick!
87'
Suarez fails to replicate his earlier goal as he balloons a free kick into the Kop End. To be fair to him, that one was from a bit further out so required more power.
86'
C. Davies gets yellow.
85'
Cissokho drives into the area and looks to take on Alex Bruce as he heads for the byeline. The Hull man manages to get a foot to the ball to stop the attempted square-ball from the left-back from finding Suarez in the middle.
83'
You can tell that Liverpool are just looking to see this game out now, and are happy to allow Hull more time on the ball. They may fancy their chances of adding to their tally with a counterattack in the closing stages.
81'
Suarez spins his man and gets a shot away from out on the left, but uncharacteristically he sends it out for a throw in on the far side. I'm sure the Liverpool faithful well let him off for that one given his recent form.
79'
WELL OVER!! Hull's best spell of the game starts to put Liverpool under pressure and the ball is eventually worked out to El Mohamady on the right of the area. He lashes a strike towards the target but completely skies it.
Minute
Description
77'
Livermore earns his side a corner as his strike is deflected behind for a corner. The visitors are unable to make anything from it, though, and the referee awards Liverpool a free kick for a push in the back inside the box.
76'
V. Moses enters the game and replaces R. Sterling.
75'
Despite that triple change from Steve Bruce, Hull have been unable to worry the hosts in this half. They remain under pressure and if anything it looks more likely that Liverpool will add to their tally.
73'
GOOD SAVE!! Coutinho glided forwards with the ball and was not closed down by any Hull players. He therefore took the opportunity to have another go at goal, and McGregor had to get down to his left in order to parry the stinging shot away from danger.
71'
OVER THE TOP!! That was well hit by Coutinho, but his driven effort flew over the roof of the goal from 25 yards. Had he managed to get it on target the power may have concerned McGregor, even though it was heading straight at him.
69'
Suarez tries to pick out Coutinho with a cross-field pass as he breaks forward following a Hull free kick, but he doesn't get the correct angle on it.
68'
STAT: Suarez has now scored 14 goals in his last six appearances at Anfield. He still has time for more too!
66'
Huddlestone flights in a corner from the right and the ball eventually drops for Davies 20 yards from goal. He decides to have a go at goal but he fires rolls a tame effort well wide of the target. He shakes his head as he runs off and I don't blame him, that was a bad attempt.
65'
Sterling is seeing a lot of the ball out on the right and he uses it well this time, curling a teasing cross in at the near post towards Henderson. Davies positions himself well to get in the way of it, though.
63'
That is poor from Huddlestone as he clips a pass well over the head of Graham, leaving him with no chance of getting on the end of it. He's struggled to influence the game positively in midfield today.
62'
S. Gerrard enters the game and replaces Iago Aspas.
A standing ovation for Steven Gerrard as he comes on to replace Iago Aspas.
61'
Aspas has struggled to acclimatise to the game today, and another loose pass from him offers Graham the chance to initiate a counterattack. Lucas is back to mop up, though, and puts a strong challenge in on the striker and comes away with the ball.
60'
STAT: Hull have never won a January fixture in the Premier League. They have played seven and only mustered three draws previously.
58'
M. Fryatt enters the game and replaces Y. Sagbo.
D. Graham enters the game and replaces R. Koren.
G. Boyd enters the game and replaces D. Meyler.
A triple change for Hull, with Fryatt, Graham and Boyd replacing Sagbo, Koren and Meyler.
57'
Sagbo manages to get himself into some space between Skrtel and Agger, and Figueroa spotted him. The wing back's delivery failed to match his vision, though, and he put far too much power on the pass.
55'
K. Touré enters the game and replaces G. Johnson.
Johnson is replaced by Toure here, and the right-back limps off following a knock he took earlier in the game. Hopefully it's nothing too serious for him.
54'
Coutinho is an extremely intelligent player, but his passing has been a bit inconsistent today. He just angled another rather poor bal into the arms of the keeper rather than the feet of a team-mate.
52'
That was a hospital ball from Lucas! The Brazilian attempted to switch the play to Skrtel in front of his own goal but ended up handing the visitors a throw down by the corner.
50'
L. Suárez has scored a goal for Liverpool!
GOOOOOOOAAAL!! Simply stunning from Suarez! The Uruguayan took the free kick himself and guided it over the wall and into the top corner of the goal. The wall did split, but his effort was powerful and accurate and provided a truly wonderful strike.
48'
Sterling tries to skip inside Chester on the counterattack but the defender times his tackle brilliantly to win the ball inside the penalty area. Moments later though he makes an extremely rash challenge on Suarez, outside the box this time. Liverpool have a free kick...
47'
Lovely work from Livermore down on the near side to get away from a couple of red shirts but he overhits his cross into the box and Hull are unable to test Mignolet again.
46'
Here we go, the second half has begun!
45' +2
The half-time whistle goes.
45' +1
We are into the first of an additional two minutes.
THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TWO!! Henderson picks out Coutinho with a brilliant pass and the Brazilian takes it down beautifully. Davies slips and it opens up space for the shot, but just as Henderson did moments ago, he pulled it wide of the goal.
44'
The Reds have really upped their game since going ahead. They are the ones doing the pressing now and they are putting Hull under a lot of pressure when in possession.
42'
JUST WIDE!! Great football from Liverpool there, as Coutinho picks out Aspas at the top of the box and the Spaniard cushioned the ball into the path of Henderson. The midfielder looked sure to score but he dragged his effort narrowly outside the far post. Bruce gave Suarez a bit of a kick at the start of that move but the referee played the advantage. The Hull man needs to be careful.
39'
L. Suárez gets yellow.
And now Suarez goes into the book himself! Clearly fired up, the striker went in overzealously as he challenged Livermore for the ball. He did not make much contact, but there was intent there.
38'
In the wake of the goal the referee had to have a word with both Meyler and Suarez. The Hull man had put a vigorous challenge in on Suarez, conceding the corner which led to the goal, and the Uruguayan was unhappy that he had not been punished for it.
36'
D. Agger has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by Philippe Coutinho.
GOOOOOAAAAL!! Agger wheels away in celebration! The centre-back gets his head to Coutinho's corner and it brushes past Henderson inside the six-yard box. His presence does enough to stop Figueroa to block the effort on the line, and Liverpool have the lead.
35'
A cross to the back post is met by Cissokho and the left-back tries to cushion the ball down for Suarez in the centre of the area. McGregor spots the danger and comes off his line to claim the ball, though.
34'
There has not been too much in terms of goal-mouth action so far today. Liverpool are certainly on top in the latter stages of this half but Hull continue to defend stoutly, showing great resilience.
32'
STAT: Hull's last two outings have seen them net a combined total of eight goals. That is as many as they had scored in the previous 10 matches.
30'
Super challenge from Meyler! The midfielder made a crucial tackle to take the ball off the foot of Coutinho as the Brazilian shaped to shoot from 20 yards out.
29'
Brilliant work from Johnson as he works his way down the right to get into a crossing position. Henderson is the man in the box but Bruce cuts out the right-back's square pass and the hosts are awarded a corner.
27'
Sterling is involved again as he ghosts into the box and gets onto the end of an awkward cross. It is at a difficult height to control and his first touch gets too close to McGregor, who collects the ball.
26'
Sterling's effort was straight at the keeper there. He needs to show a more clinical edge when he gets inside the area.
25'
GREAT SAVE!! A long ball up from the back is flicked into the path of Sterling by the head of Suarez. The youngster bears down on goal and shapes to pick out the far corner, but McGregor comes off his line and stays big to get in the way of the shot.
23'
Over the top! Coutinho picks up the loose ball after Bruce goes in hard, but fairly, on Suarez, but his right-footed effort is always rising and it flies into the stand behind the goal.
22'
Coutinho decides to go direct for goal from the free kick this time but his effort lacks the power to cause McGregor any real trouble.
21'
A. Bruce gets yellow.
Suarez is brilliant at that! He receives a pass from Skrtel and with one touch he has knocked the ball past the defender and spun to face goal. Bruce cannot get anwhere near him and brings the striker to ground, earning himself a yellow card.
19'
GOOOAAL.... no it is not! Coutinho's brilliant delivery from a free kick wide on the right is headed into the net by Suarez, but as he turns to celebrate he sees the assistant referee with his flag raised for offside.
18'
Johnson again pushes forward down the right and manages to hook a cross into the box. Aspas is in there but it is El Mohamady that gets his head to it to clear the danger away.
16'
Ambitious from Suarez! The Uruguayan cut inside of Livermore and attempted to clip a chip into the far corner. McGregor was scrambling but the effort ended up drifting wide of the post.
15'
That would have been a bit controversial! Suarez was bundled over by Huddlestone as he looked to bring a looping ball down onto the deck but the referee awarded nothing. Hull countered and worked an opportunity for Koren to shoot but a deflection off of Skrtel took the pace out of it and Mignolet gathered.
13'
JUST OVER!! Some intricate football from Hull as Livermore picks out Sagbo and the forward flicks the ball around Agger. Koren puts it back into the path of Sagbo and he looses an effort on goal, but it flies over the roof of the net.
12'
Coutinho drops deep to pick up the ball and dribbles through the centre of the park. He attempts to fire a pass into the feet of Aspas at the top of the box but the Spaniard is unable to bring it under control.
10'
Good tracking from Lucas, there. The Brazilian followed the run from deep of Livermore and forced the midfielder out wide before getting a foot to the ball to send it out for a throw in. It's been a relatively low-key start to the game, but Hull appear to be in confident mood.
8'
STAT: Hull’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in the reverse of this fixture in December was their first over the Anfield side in any competition.
6'
The Tigers win a free kick just inside the Liverpool half as Lucas tries to mop up after Aspas was caught in possession but fails. Huddlestone delivers the ball into the box but he puts too much power on it and it sails comfortably into the awaiting hands of Mignolet.
4'
What a let down! Henderson switched the play out to Johnson on the right with a high-quality pass, and the right-back cut inside of Meyler with ease. He decided to pull the trigger but on his left foot he scuffed a shot straight into the first defender.
3'
Hull are pressing extremely high in these early stages. El Mohamady is using the greater freedom offered in the wing back role to push on and put Cissokho under pressure as soon as he gets in possession.

We are underway at Anfield!
A happy new year to you all, and welcome to today's LIVE text commentary on the Premier League meeting between Liverpool and Hull City. Brendan Rodgers' side spent Christmas Day on top of the table but in one week have slipped down to fifth position. He will be eager for his side to get back on track today. My name is Tom Webber, and I will be your host as we see if they can do just that.
Liverpool have won seven of their previous eight home games against Hull in all competitions, scoring at least twice on every occasion. It will be interesting to see how they will react to the two straight defeats suffered at the hands of title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea. Hull, meanwhile, have not won on their travels since the 3-2 win over Newcastle United in September.
The teams have been announced, and they will be with you momentarily.
Brendan Rodgers is forced to make two changes as Joe Allen and Mamadou Sakho miss out through injury. Aly Cissokho and Iago Aspas therefore come into the side, with Daniel Agger moving into the centre of defence. Steve Bruce also makes a pair of switches to the side that dismantled Fulham 6-0 in their previous outing, with George Boyd and Liam Rosenior making way for Alex Bruce and David Meyler.
The Reds have scored at least three goals in each of their previous six home games in the Premier League. They have Luis Suarez to thank for the large part of that - the Uruguayan has netted an astonishing 13 times in his previous five Premier League outings at Anfield.
The teams are out on the pitch, so kick off will be upon us shortly.
HALF TIME - Liverpool 1-0 Hull: The Reds take the lead into the break thanks to Daniel Agger's header. It has not been one of their best performances of the season by any meas, but there have been flashes of brilliant football from the hosts. The Tigers will need to supply Sagbo with more ammunition if they want to find a way back into this. Join me for the second half to find out if they can!
Welcome back! Only a few moments to go until the second half gets underway, with Liverpool currently leading Hull 1-0.
FULL TIME - Liverpool 2-0 Hull: Goals either side of the break see the Reds secure all three points. Agger's header was added to by Suarez with an exquisite free kick as Liverpool got back to winning ways, moving up to fourth position in the table.
That is it from me, Tom Webber, for today. Thanks a lot for joining me and have a great evening.
